We drove two hours the day after my birthday to get to Boone. It was a long drive and I was getting cranky. Then we were there. My life changed. Brother Mountain towered above me calling. The million shades of green seeped into my bones. Everything about my journey seemed to make sense. I had to struggle until now to feel the beauty of the moment. This is where I'm meant to be. The sun and the clouds and the sweet smell of the valley told me so.
